Sex Swami booked by cops‎ in India

BANGALORE, India - Swami Nithyananda of Dhyana-peetam Ashram is now being held by Bidadi city police in Karnataka state, India. An investigating officer has been appointed, and police have registered a case against the swami under six Sections of CrPC. The charges include:
  • cheating
  • rape
  • unnatural sex
  • outraging religious sentiments

The case was filed on Thursday evening after the police got the papers sent by Chennai [Madras] police against the swami. It took three days for the police to get the papers translated into Kannada dialect. (More coverage)
