Father's Day: the holiday that almost wasn't
Dad's day almost didn't exist When Father's Day -- celebrating beer-drinking, slovenly American dads like Homer Simpson, Peter Griffin, and this Mardi Gras specimen -- was first proposed, anger and mockery almost killed the holiday.
