This is the night for some cosmic meditation.
A bright, full moon will rise to illuminate the night sky tonight (Monday, April 26), and it's not just any full moon.

April marks the return of the "pink" supermoon. Supermoons are full moons that appear larger and more luminous in the sky because they are in perigee — closer to Earth than usual.

Pink supermoons aren't pink. See The Almanac.
This typically happens a few times each year. "Different publications use slightly different thresholds for deciding which full moons qualify as supermoons, but for 2021 all agree the two full moons in April and May are supermoons," NASA's Gordon Johnston said in a statement.

The moon will be visible after sunset and reach its fullest point at 8:32 pm (PT) or 11:32 pm (ET) on April 26, NASA says. It will continue to appear full until about Wednesday morning. More

The lunar Buddhist observance: Uposatha

Western nun "Light" cultivates her heart/mind.
The Uposatha (Sanskrit Upavasatha) is the weekly Buddhist day of observance, in existence from before the Buddha's time (600 BCE). It is a time to observe the precepts, hear the Dharma, and meditate.

It is still being kept today by Buddhist practitioners. The Buddha taught that the Uposatha (a Dharmic religion Sabbath) day is for "the cleansing of the defiled mind/heart," resulting in inner calm and joy.

Wow, Lisa was right. This is cool and calming.
On this day, lay practitioners and ordained monastics of the sangha ("community") intensify their practice, deepen their knowledge of the sutras, and express communal commitment through millennia-old acts of lay-monastic reciprocity.

On these days (counted by the phases of the moon), lay practitioners make a conscious effort to keep more than the daily Five Precepts. As the tradition suggests, practitioners keep the Eight Precepts.

It is a day for practicing the Buddha's teachings, the Dharma, and meditation (cultivation and development of beneficial qualities like virtue, generosity, concentration, and wisdom). More

Scorpio April full moon 2021 meditation
Like most full moons, it lasts longer than a single night by a few extra days (4/25-4/28).

(Narayanjot Records: Meditation, Relaxing, Sleeping Music) What if we add the "moon frequency" for manifesting and meditative enhancement? This Full Moon Meditation is for April 2021 in Scorpio, a sign known for great emotions and charisma.

KARMA: Whatever I can do, I can dream.
Use it to meditate, raise emotional strength and charisma, and light up spiritual aims. It's a super moon. Let go of unwanted baggage. Recharge the inner core with power.

Today, April 26th, the full moon falls in Scorpio, making this the best day of the year to tune into imagination and the subconscious. It's time for personal transformation and manifestation of dreams.
