Basic Dhammakaya Meditation Practice
Meditators gather in nature to meditate under the glow of moonlight. Come join this full moon for Dhammakaya's Vesak Day Celebration commemorating the Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and passing into final nirvana.

These three remarkable events all occurred on the full moon day of the sixth lunar month called Visakha.

Guided by Ven. Dr. Nicholas Thanissaro, who has been a Buddhist monk for over 20 years with over 30 years of meditation experience. Meditate under this month's full moon and find peace within.

(Ruptly, 2/11/17) Theravada Buddhists mark the full moon festival at Wat Phra Dhammakaya in epic style.

Virtue, meditation (sam), and wisdom!
Thousands of Thai monks, maechis, female and male devotees participate in a breathtaking lantern-lit Dhammakaya ceremony at the movement's main temple complex in Pathum Thani province near Bangkok. It marks Makha Bucha Day, a special holiday celebrated on the full moon of the third lunar month of the calendar, known as Great Buddha's Day (Magha Puja), a public holiday observed in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos. Sri Lanka, and Burma. It is an important religious festival held in honor of the historical Buddha, marking the day when 1,250 early disciples gathered to be ordained by the Buddha.
