Monks and mushrooms at the Farmer's Market

Ananda (Dharma Buddhist Meditation), Jen B., Ashley Wells (ed.), Wisdom Quarterly
Alms: Dana (the virtue of giving) is an act of generosity to develop unselfish letting go.
Lily grows mushrooms. Visit her booth and ask.
Lily Baltazar of the Aloe Vera Urban Project has mushrooms and mushroom growing kits at the Farmer's Market. Our stoner Zorthian Ranch hippie pal Giggling Chris also offers plants, trees, and flowers. Among the organics and grains, Bezian Bakery solves the gluten problem and the lectin dilemma in bread problem with long sourdough fermentation (bezianbakery.com).

BUDDHIST MONKS AND NUNS walk through for alms round every Saturday for a few brief minutes some time between 10:00-11:30 am. They meander through in silence behind a bell. This gem of a market, operating through the lockdown, is popular, so arrive early.
Social distancing. Bring a reusable bag. FREE. No purchase necessary. Self-guided. Some of us will follow the monastics on walkabout alms round and to see their center. Others will shop.
