Flying car is finally here: AirCar (BBC)


AirCar: Convertible "flying car" takes to the sky: A prototype flying car has completed a 35-minute flight between international airports in Nitra and Bratislava, Slovakia. The hybrid aircraft-car, AirCar, is equipped with a BMW engine and runs on regular gas-pump fuel. Its creator, Professor Stefan Klein, said it can fly about 600 miles (1,000 km), at a height of 8,200 feet (2,500 m), and had clocked 40 hours in the air so far.
