FREE "Shakespeare in the Park" in L.A. (8/7)

Independent Shakespeare Co. LA (iscla.org); Dhr. Seven, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Prospero's Books is an artistic rendition of The Tempest, with 1960's avant-garde nudity.

RETURN TO LIVE THEATER! It may look a little different this year, but it’s time to grab loved ones by the hand and meet in the park for a joyful reunion.

It’s five weeks of Shakespeare plays, special events, and community. THE TEMPEST runs Aug. 7-Sept. 5, Wednesdays through Sundays at 7:00 pm.

THE PLAY: For 13 years Prospero and his daughter, Miranda, have been trapped on an island in the middle of dangerous seas. Fate brings a long-awaited ship to their shores. What follows is a story of magic, treachery, and miraculous reconciling.
