Dhamma Talk and Meditation with Ajahn Sumedho
(Serenity, 8/17/21) Ajahn Sumedho (formerly Robert Karr Jackman) is a seminal figure in the transmission of the Buddha’s Teachings (Dharma) to the West. He has served as a monastic since 1967.

He was the abbot of Amaravati Buddhist Monastery in the United Kingdom from its founding in 1984 until his retirement in 2010.

Having trained in the Thai Forest Tradition under Ajahn Chah, Venerable Sumedho has come to be considered his most influential Western disciple.

Ajahn Sumedho offered a Dharma talk and Q&A at River Road Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, Maryland on July 1, 2017.

He was visiting the Washington, DC, area for the first time. This event was co-organized by IMCW and the Royal Thai Embassy.
