COMMENT (Agent Fungus, 7 years ago) Forgot to mention Winston and Julia's secret hideaway room [in the Proles' section of town], where they thought they were safe and were able to act like "normal" people. They did not realize this room was a setup until the telescreen behind a quaint painting spoke up just before the Thought Police burst into the room. Winston and Julia had been recorded the entire time they thought they had privacy. So sad.
