Relatives demand answers in fatal Minnesota police shooting
Victim: meditation teacher Justine Damond
MINNEAPOLIS, USA - Relatives and neighbors of an Australian woman fatally shot by Minneapolis police over the weekend demanded answers Monday about the mysterious shooting in which the meditation teacher was reportedly killed by an officer who fired from the passenger seat of a squad car as the woman stood outside the driver's door.

Justine Damond, of Sydney, Australia, was fatally shot by police in Minneapolis on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Authorities say that officers were responding to a 911 call about a possible assault when they shot the woman who was the one who called them (Stephen Govel.com via AP).
Authorities released no details about what led to the shooting of Justine Damond, whose fiance said she had called 911 to report what she believed was a sexual assault in an alley near her home. Police said officers were responding to a call about a possible assault late Saturday when she was killed. There were no known witnesses other than the two officers in the squad car that showed up. A newspaper report said Damond was shot while standing alongside the car in her pajamas. Her fiancé, Don Damond, said the family has been given almost no additional information about what happened after police arrived. More
  • UPDATE (AP.org, July 19, 2017): Killer cop's partner confesses, "We heard a noise [and we got scared, so he had to shoot the first person we saw, because that's what we're trained to do in police departments across the country, but don't worry, the DA will get the officer off by putting on a very weak prosecution, either at a laughable grand jury presentation or, if worse comes to worse, a kangaroo court-style trial. We cops always get away with murder involuntary manslaughter]."

New audio has emerged of the moments around the fatal US police shooting of Australian spiritual healer and meditation coach Justine Damond in a Minneapolis alley.

The officers are heard communicating with their dispatcher over the police radio, including calling for backup and their attempts to perform CPR on Sydney-raised Damond. “Shots fired...we have one down,” one of the officers says.

Damond’s death in the alley outside her Minneapolis home just before midnight on Saturday has devastated and outraged family, friends and left the Minneapolis community upset about the latest police shooting in their city. More+VIDEO
