Daily Show, Jon Stewart: "We Can't Breathe"

The Daily Show: We Can’t Breathe
(Comedy Central) Although the NYPD police officer who strangled unarmed black man Eric Garner for failure to obey without question using an illegal chokehold did not face conviction, prosecution, or even indictment, the innocent bystander who filmed the crime certainly did. Police punished him for exercising his civil duty to record police committing their crimes, in this case excessive force, brutality, murder and/or manslaughter.

ABOUT: The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (now handed over to Trevor Noah to not upstage Stewart) was an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning program that looked at politics, pop culture, sports, and entertainment through a sharp comedic and reality-based lens. Stewart and The Best F#@king News Team Ever covered the day's top stories like no one before, using footage, field reports (including a once very funny Stephen Colbert, Samantha Bee, and others), and guest interviews to deliver fake news that was even better than the real thing.
