Don't take it personally (Ajahn Sumedho)

Buddhism for Peace of Mind: Don't take it personally by Ajahn Sumedho
(Dhamma: Genuine Teachings of the Buddha and His Noble Disciples, May 11, 2014) Dhamma (Sanskrit Dharma) means the genuine Teachings of the Buddha and his noble (enlightened) disciples, the Great Teacher and the Arya Sangha. It is the wisdom of the Buddha, a historical person named Siddhartha Gautama. All things are impersonal, so don't take them personally. They are also impermanent, so don't cling to them as permanent. And they are disappointing, so don't chase after them as if they could ever fulfill or satisfying anyone. Ajahn Sumedho (Robert Karr Jackman), a Western student of Ajahn Chah now in his 80s, explains it quite nicely.
