At the International Institute of Los Angeles or IILA (iilosangeles.org), the mission is to help Afghan families arriving in Los Angeles for the first time.

IILA helps them become self-sufficient and promotes cross-cultural understanding.

This is done by providing services to immigrants, refugees, and survivors of human trafficking. IILA headquarters is located east of downtown Los Angeles.

IILA needs volunteers at this time. It employs over 120 dedicated, multicultural staff that provide child care, transportation, immigration legal assistance, nutrition, and refugee services in centers and offices throughout Southern California. More: IILA
