The original Renaissance Pleasure Faire returns to Los Angeles County at the Santa Fe Dam at the junction of the 210 and 605 Freeways in Irwindale, out by the racetrack, east of Pasadena. Get ye thine bustier and down a period costume of felt and pleather, swash buckles and pirate stuff, and get out into the sun to celebrate a pre-Christina European culture of hedonism, excess, and Viking stuff. At least that's how it seems. The SoCal heatwave end Friday night, just in time to dab on some zinc cream.
