Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park is near town, nestled against the red rocks in a residential area. When it comes to free things to do in Sedona, visiting the spiritual oasis (medicine wheel and vortex) named Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park.
This one-of-a-kind park opened its doors in 2004 as a place of contemplation, healing, meditation, prayer, and spiritual renewal.
It consists of two Buddhist stupas or burial mound reliquaries (containing the Buddha's relics), a Native American medicine wheel, a large wooden statue of the historical Shakyamuni Buddha, and a Peace Labyrinth to wonder as pilgrims ponder. There are also hiking trails at the Peace Park heading up to Chimney Rock above the Buddha and other destinations.
The outdoor venue is free to visit and is a must-see for spiritual seekers and anyone seeking calm.
