Buddhism Explained Simply
In this video we'll look at Buddhism and see who the Buddha was.
Buddhism the one of the world’s three major [universal] religions. But outside of Asia it isn’t as well known. What is Buddhism? What does the Buddha have to do with it? What do Buddhists believe? That's what we’ll find out on this episode of Cogito.
Let's learn about the life of the Buddha. The Four Noble (Ennobling or Enlightening) Truths that he taught to others so that they would awaken from the illusion of life and become enlightened and free like him. The way to complete freedom, or Nirvana, and the path as explained in the Noble Eightfold Path (the fourth noble truth) will also be explained.
Ever wonder what the differences between Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism are? No need to wonder much longer. While this tries to explain Buddhism in a simple and understandable way, it is important to note that it cannot really be covered in ten minutes.
