Heart Sutra for 45 minutes (English translation) 般若心経 Buddhist mantra with Tinna Tinh
The Heart Sutra (English)
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva
when practicing deeply the
Perfection of Wisdom (Prajna Paramita) perceives
that all Five Aggregates (pancha skandha) are empty
and is saved from all suffering and disappointment.
Sariputra,
form does not differ from emptiness,
Emptiness does not differ from form.
That which is form is emptiness;
That which is emptiness form.
The same is true of feelings,
perceptions,
impulses (mental formations),
and consciousness.
Sariputra,
all things (dharmas) are marked by emptiness
They do not appear or disappear,
are neither tainted nor pure,
do not increase nor decrease.
Therefore, in emptiness there is no form,
no feeling,
no perception,
no formations
no consciousness.
There are no eyes,
no ears,
no nose,
no tongue,
no body,
no mind;
There is no color,
no sound,
no fragrance,
no taste,
no touch,
no objects of mind;
There is no realm of eyes
and so forth...
no realm of mind consciousness.

There is no ignorance,
no extinction of ignorance,
and so forth...
no old age and death
no extinction of old age and death.
There is no suffering,
no origination,
no stopping,
no path,
no cognition,
and no attainment
with nothing to attain.
The being bent on supreme awakening (Bodhisattva)
depends on the perfection of wisdom
and the mind is no hindrance;
without any hindrance, no fears exist.
Far from every perverted view
one dwells in Nirvana.
In the three worlds
all Buddhas
depend on the perfection of wisdom
and attain supreme unexcelled awakening
(anuttara samyak sambodhi).
Therefore, know that the perfection of wisdom
is the great transcendent mantra,
is the great bright mantra,
is the utmost mantra,
is the supreme mantra,
which is able to relieve all suffering
and is true, not false.
So proclaim the perfection of wisdom mantra,
proclaim the mantra which says:
Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha
Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha
Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha.
(Gone, gone, gone beyond, gone altogether
beyond, oh what an awakening, so it is!)
Hey, that ain't rap! Says you. Tinna Tinh has released a "lofi hip hop version" on another famous Buddhist subject, Medicine Buddha. We think her percussion tracks make it pretty clear what she's getting at. And that is rap. Not great rap, but rap nonetheless.

ma ka han nya ha ra mi ta shin gyo
摩訶般若波羅蜜多心経
kan ji zai bo sa gyo jin han nya ha ra mi ta ji
観自在菩薩 行深般若波羅蜜多時
sho ken go on kai ku do is-sai ku yaku
照見五蘊皆空 度一切苦厄
sha ri shi shiki fu i ku ku fu i shiki
舍利子 色不異空 空不異色
shiki soku ze ku ku soku ze shiki
色即是空 空即是色
ju so gyo shiki yaku bu nyo ze sha ri shi
受想行識亦復如是 舍利子
ze sho ho ku so fu sho fu metsu
是諸法空相 不生不滅
fu ku fu jo fu zo fu gen ze ko ku chu mu shiki
不垢不浄 不増不減 是故空中 無色
mu ju so gyo shiki mu gen ni bi ze-shin ni
無受想行識 無眼耳鼻舌身意
mu shiki sho ko mi soku ho mu gen kai
無色声香味触法 無眼界
nai shi mu i shiki kai mu mu myo
乃至無意識界 無無明
yaku mu mu myo jin nai shi mu ro shi
亦無無明尽 乃至無老死
yaku mu ro shi jin mu ku shu metsu do
亦無老死尽 無苦集滅道
mu chi yaku mu toku I mu sho toku ko
無智亦無得 以無所得故
bo dai sat-ta e han nya ha ra mi ta ko
菩提薩埵 依般若波羅蜜多故
shin mu kei ge mu ke ge ko
心無罣礙 無罣礙故
mu u ku fu on ri is-sai ten do mu so
無有恐怖 遠離一切顛倒夢想
ku gyo ne han san ze sho butsu
究竟涅槃 三世諸仏
e han-nya ha ra mi ta ko
依般若波羅蜜多故
toku a noku ta ra san myaku san bo dai
得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提
ko chi hannya ha ra mi ta
故知般若波羅蜜多
ze dai jin shu ze dai myo shu
是大神呪 是大明呪
ze mu jo shu ze mu to do shu
是無上呪 是無等等呪
no jo is-sai ku shin jitsu fu ko
能除一切苦 真実不虚
ko setsu han nya hara mi ta shu
故説般若波羅蜜多呪
soku setsu shu watsu
即説呪曰
gya tei gya tei hara gya tei hara so gya tei
羯諦羯諦 波羅羯諦 波羅僧羯諦
