(Neuralia) May 21, 2023. Japanese female robots aren’t like the mechanical ones at all. They’re at another level altogether. Their lifelike features are made out of a special type of silica gel that feels just like human skin. They’re also warm to the touch, which is thought to increase the level of connection between them and their owners. One is even set to participate in a Japanese movie. If successful, this could mean Hollywood actors and actresses could be replaced with robots at some point.
