What must it be like to enter one of the sensual (kama-loka) heavens (sagga)?

In the European conception, there must be castrati devas known as gandharvas (gandhabbas) acting as musician entertainers for the other devas, playing lutes, dulcimers, and lyres, sipping ambrosia (amrita). Classical composer Prokofiev knew something about creating an ambiance of peace and solemnity.

But devas or "shining ones" are a Vedic, Buddhist, and Jain conception, being the Dharmic religions. These temple Brahmin and wandering ascetic shraman traditions began in proto-India. Examples of the heady and heartfelt sacred music of India exist today. There's The Festival of Tabla™.
