Yogini, Guru: Avoid meat, white rice, wheat


Many health communities view white (stripped of everything but its starch) rice as an unhealthy option. It’s highly processed and stripped of its hull (protective coating), bran (outer layer fiber), and germ (nutrient-rich core). Brown rice has only had its hull removed. For this reason, brown rice has many vitamins and minerals absent from white rice. There are some instances where white rice is a better option than brown, as for the sick who cannot digest food.
