Native Los Angeles: Kuruvungna Springs

The University High School Campus in West LA hosts ancient freshwater springs on the site of a Tongva Indian Village called Kuruvungna -- “a place where we are all in the Sun.”

Enjoy the four year old Native plant garden -- oaks, cottonwoods, wild rose, and sage. Rain or shine. 

Where? The Springs at Kuruvungna are located at 1439 South Barrington Ave. on the campus of University High School, one mile west of the 405 Freeway, on Barrington, one block north of Santa Monica Blvd., the second driveway on the west side of Barrington, Los Angeles, CA 90025.
