There was once a great series on the Buddhist temples around the the USA. It's hard to keep track because so many new ones kept popping up. New communities set up ethnic enclaves, purchasing a residential property and turning it into a monastery or nunnery (vihara) complex, a gathering place for expats from a certain land, individuals who miss their food, culture, religious customs, and sense of familiarity. American-oriented temples arise less frequently then move as they become better known and outgrow their leases. Know of new one? Why not update Wikipedia's list?
