After two days of deliberations, the
jury found former L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca guilty of obstruction of
justice, conspiracy, and lying. Baca, who once ran the largest sheriff's
department in the country, now faces up to 20 years in prison....
In recent years, nine sheriff's officials have been convicted in
connection to the scandal....Baca's acquittal. Federal prosecutors decided to pursue
another trial, hoping a second shot would bring a conviction. More
