Full Moon Day Retreat: L.A. Buddhist Vihara

Bhante (LABV, labuddhistvihara.org, Facebook); Ashley Wells, Dhr. Seven, Wisdom Quarterly

All of the full moons have traditional names.
For the full (blue) moon observance day or uposatha this April (though it is officially a blue moon the previous night), participants will wear white, observe the Eight Precepts, practice meditation, listen to sutras, and eat a free delicious island-vegetarian lunch. The Pasadena Buddhist monastery or vihara, previously located in Hollywood, follows the Sri Lankan Theravada vipassana (insight meditation) tradition. Free, open to the public, slightly ethnic.
