Unveiling new acquisition: the Buddha’s Eye Relics
Free event to be held at the new Wei Mountain Temple on Saturday, Aug. 31-Monday, Sept. 2, 2019. Meditation hours: 9:00-10:00 am and 7:00-8:00 pm. Meditation instruction available on request.
The 10,000 Buddha Relics Collection includes sacred bones of Shakyamuni Buddha as well as tens of thousands of brightly colored [silica] crystals found in his ashes after cremation [and appearing spontaneously and multiplying after that]. These relics, also known as shariras, will be on display, as well as those of his enlightened family members and his closest disciples.
