EL GRITO: How Mexican-Americans celebrate Independence Day
73rd Annual East L.A. Mexican Independence Day Parade (streamed live on Sept. 8, 2019) ABC7 is proud to broadcast the East Los Angeles Mexican Independence Day parade, the nation's largest and oldest Latinx parade, hosted by Los Angeles news anchors Jovana Lara and Danny Romero.

COMMENTS:
  • (Gery S.) At Minute 28:56 I was in the parade! I'm the one in yellow holding the white parasol. 😄 I had a lot of fun! Hope u guys enjoyed Casa Cultural's Frida Kahlo presentation. 😁
  • Rudy Ruiz) I miss watching the East LA parade in person now being in Phoenix, Arizona. :-(
  • (Carlos Carlos) Ironic that people dressed like [indigenous] Indians celebrate the independence of [Spanish colonial] Mexico [from Europe]: Cada loco con su tema ["To each nut his own nuttiness."]
