How to merge Yoga and Buddhism (11/7)

Ananda (Dharma Meditation Initiative), Dhr. Seven, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Christine Turlington meditates.
Yoga ("union") merges breath, body, mind -- spirit, matter, and psyche. Its ancient practices have the same aim as Buddhism's Noble Eightfold Path: liberation from rebirth and all ordinary limitations. Patanjali tried to organize ancient Vedic teachings into an eight-limbed system for the same result as the Buddha. We'll talk with a yoga expert from India who has also practiced Buddhism. Bring a yoga mat or towel (optional). Vegan refreshments served. FREE/by donation. RSVP
