How many Americans are gay? Many
Pride Parade is cancelled, but Gay Pride goes on (The New Yorker Radio Hour) June 26, 2020 — Activists opposed to the “pink washing” of the official gay-pride parade in NYC organize a scrappier, anti-corporate, more radical and riotous event. AUDIO

NYC, June 27, 2020 — Acclaimed actor, star of ballroom runways, and longtime trans activist Marquise Vilson Balenciaga will co-host the Queer Liberation March for Black Lives and Against Police Brutality’s livestream broadcast.

It's on Sunday, June 28, 12:45pm-4:00 pm (live at reclaimpridenyc.org and on Facebook, Twitter/Periscope, and YouTube).

“We’re excited that Marquise, star of the brilliant new documentary Disclosure, will co-host our livestream on Sunday with legendary poet and performer Pamela Sneed,” said March co-organizer Jon Carter.

“Our March through the streets of New York City and our worldwide livestream will bring the fight for racial justice, economic empowerment, and an end to police brutality to the world. Marquise and Pamela are powerful voices to embody that message.”

I love the gays. I marched with the gays in 69!
Marquise is well-known to audiences for his roles in the movie “The Kitchen,” and TV series such as “Law & Order: SVU,” “Tales of the City,” and “The Blacklist.” He has continually broken new ground in the industry as a Black trans man. Marquise is also a longtime star in the ballroom community and a veteran HIV activist.

Reclaim Pride is also thrilled and honored to be invited to host its livestream of the Queer Liberation March for Black Lives and Against Police Brutality from inside the historic Stonewall Inn (site of 1969 riots) in New York City. The generosity of Stonewall and its longstanding support of the LGBTQ+ communities is well appreciated.
