Nature will not relent to the urban onslaught

Los Angeles' outdoors scene isn't the typical nature experience.

Angelenos can hike in nearby forests and deserts, but do people know it's also possible to take an urban stroll along Wilshire Boulevard or birdwatch at the fake wetlands in South Central?

The bland pandemic has pushed many excited Angelenos to awaken to the wild around them. Mary Forgione, Sierra Club leader and Los Angeles Times outdoors writer, wants to talk about expanding our thoughts of nature.
