Lunar New Year Festival
This museum is cool (WQ).
Celebrate the Year of the Sheep (Ram) across Asia with a free day of performances, demonstrations, hands on activities, and FREE gallery admission.

Food trucks will be close by to satisfy hungry and thirsty visitors. The festival takes place inside the museum and under tents in the parking lot, rain or shine.
Performances
Be a samurai for the day (Pacific Asia)
  • 11:00 am Lion dance
  • 11:30 am-12:30 pm Guangdong delegation performance (songs and dances, puppet show, acrobatics, magic show, martial arts, opera)
  • 12:30-1:30 pm Break
  • 1:30-2:00 pm Vietnamese dances
  • 2:00-3:00 pm Guangdong delegation performance (songs and dances, acrobatics, opera)
  • 3:00-4:00 pm Break
  • 4:00-4:30 pm Korean dances and drumming
  • 4:30-5:00 pm Taekwondo
Demonstrations
Even adults like the performances (WQ).
Artisans from Guangdong was demonstrate the making of folk arts items including ceramics and pottery, lanterns, clay sculpture, miniature sculpture and embroidery.

Crafts and Activities
Year of the Sheep group activity, sheep craft, lantern making, firecracker making, calligraphy workshop, etc. Plus zodiac animal book program with author Oliver Chin and public tours of the museum.
