Survivor of white racist Christian terrorist attack
I'll read it if someone writes me better words.
The "Unite the Right" racist white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, this weekend "erupted" into [planned] violence [that surprised no one paying attention except riot police standing by letting it happen], resulting in three deaths.

After a silly tiki-torchlit march of hundreds of racists, Nazis, and KKK members on the University of Virginia campus Friday night, more than 1,000 white supremacists calling themselves white nationalists descended on the small city on Saturday to oppose a plan by the city to remove a [massive 1924] statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee from a city park named after him.

They were met by anti-racist, anti-fascist ["Antifa"] counter-demonstrators, and fights broke out before the rally began. Witnesses report police did little [to nothing] to intervene. Shortly after the protest began, an alleged murdererlater identified as James Alex Fields drove his vehicle into a crowd of counter-demonstrators in what many are calling an act of Christian terrorism.

A local paralegal named Heather Heyer was killed in the vehicular attack, and at least 19 others were injured [though one might well argue that Fields failed to murder 19 others he aimed to kill].

Two Virginia state troopers also died Saturday when their helicopter crashed en route to the scene of the violence. On Saturday, Don Trump addressed reporters while relaxing at his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, blaming the violence in Charlottesville -- not on rmed racists gathering for a protest rally -- but on "many sides."

Democracy Now! begins a roundtable discussion with Brandy Gonzalez, who survived the Charlottesville car rampage, and registered nurse Lisa Moore, who assisted a victim of the car attack.
