GAZA, Occupied Palestine - Let's go to the great "'State' of Israel" for a live update from
Sharif Abdel Kouddous (independent journalist and
Democracy Now! correspondent) as tens of
thousands of Palestinians have gathered near the heavily fortified
border wall built by Israel for nonviolent demonstration against the
moving of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. At the time of broadcast, the Israeli military
has murdered at least
30 [50+] civilian Palestinians and injured at least 1,000.
“No one is carrying any weapons here. There are no bullets being fired
by Palestinians on Israeli soldiers. …And yet these
killings [murders] continue,”
Kouddous says. This comes as senior members of the Trump administration
have gathered in Jerusalem for the embassy’s opening.
