Minneapolis police today identified the killer and possibly racist cop -- or maybe just clumsy after 26 years on the force, not knowing the difference between a handgun and a Taser -- who killed or possibly intentionally murdered motorist and citizen Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black youth, during a weekend traffic stop near Minneapolis as Officer Kim Potter.

Officer Kim Potter has been with the Brooklyn Center Police Department for 26 years, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) said in an emailed statement.
"Racism is ignorant." Bad police are a menace. - The BCA said she's on standard administrative leave but would not disclose any further details, citing the active investigation into Mr. Wright's killing.
- The big picture: Officer Potter shot Mr. Wright to death during a routine (and seemingly quite unnecessary) traffic stop just before 2:00 pm Sunday in Brooklyn Center, about 10 miles from where Minneapolis police murdered or killed Black citizen George Floyd last year, for which Officer Derek Chauvin is currently being tried and his accomplices will then go to trial.
- Police are trying to cover for their fellow officer by earlier saying or opining that Officer Potter inadvertently pulled out her handgun instead of a Taser (just a mistake, a rookie move, an accident, it could happen to anyone, especially after more than a quarter century wielding a gun).
- The Hennepin County medical examiner has said Mr. Wright was killed by a gunshot to the chest.

Police are attempting to excuse her crime by saying it was all a mistake: She "apparently" is being told to say she intended to fire her Taser at the victim as he sat in the driver's seat being manhandled by two heavily armed male officers wearing bulletproof vests. |

She did not mean to pull out her handgun and execute him, as male officer began to struggle with the youth to force him into custody, according to the the city's police chief on Monday.

| Killer cops ready to excuse their killings |
She killed as hulking officers were trying to arrest young Wright on an outstanding warrant they had just heard about. The killing sparked peaceful protests that police labelled "violent" in a metropolitan area already on edge because of the trial of killer cop Derek Chauvin and four other police officers who helped him kill Mr. George Floyd, all of whom were charged in the needless and senseless killing.

"I'll Tase you! I'll Tase you! Taser! Taser! Taser!" killer cop Kim Potter is heard shouting on her body cam footage released at a news conference to try the case in the court of public opinion -- with police getting their version wide attention and not a word coming from the victim's legal representation, family, or supporters.
Officer Potter drew her deadly weapon after the youth pulled away from police outside his car and got back behind the wheel.
After shooting him to death with a single shot from to the chest from her handgun, the victim's car speeds away with a mortally wounded driver behind the wheel. And the officer is heard confessing, admitting, or bragging to her fellow officers, "Holy sh*t! I shot him [to death]."
