Eckhart Tolle: Accept unhappiness to be happy

Accepting Your Unhappiness to Be Happy
(Eckhart Tolle, Aug. 2, 2022) It can be hard to accept our unhappiness (or as the Buddha calls it, the dukkha, "disappointment" or "suffering") and not resist the present moment beset by pain. Fortunately, when we ACCEPT this moment as it is, unhappiness does not last long in us. It simply cannot last long. It cannot tolerate complete acceptance. It cannot coexist with radical acceptance.

(The Buddha taught that we habitually, mindlessly, grasp and cling to anything pleasant, push away and feel revulsion to anything unpleasant, or are bored and confused with neutral stimuli.)
