Inside Israeli Apartheid

(Mondoweiss) For decades Palestinians have accused Israel of the crime of Apartheid, imposing two different systems on the land [of Palestine] between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea:

I never wanted peace. I wanted all this land!

One system privileges foreign Jews (particularly European Ashkenazi Jews to the detriment of Mizrahi or Middle Eastern Jews, Sephardic or Hispanic Jews, African or dark-skinned Jews, Ultra-Orthodox or Neturei Karta and other old-time, established Jews who have lived peacefully in Palestine (particularly in Jerusalem, in the Mea Shearin neighborhood, who are keenly interested in following Talmudic law and reading and studying the Torah or Old Testament), AND there's another one that discriminates against indigenous Palestinians (whether Arabian, European, Christian, or even Jewish).

Now, the rest of the world is catching up. In the past year, the leading global and Israeli human rights groups have joined their Palestinian counterparts in calling Israel an Apartheid state. From the illegally "Occupied Territories" of Palestine (West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza) to Palestinian communities inside Israel, this is a look Inside Israeli Apartheid.

Depuis des décennies, les communautés palestiniennes accusent Israël de crime d'apartheid, en imposant deux systèmes différents sur les terres situées entre le Jourdain et la mer Méditerranée : un système qui privilégie les Juifs·ves, et un autre qui discrimine les Palestinien·ne·s.
