Putin praises Kamala Harris's 'infectious' laugh as he backs her for US president

(Sky News Australia) Sept 5, 2024: A teasing Russian President Vladimir Putin says the Kremlin (Moscow's version of the White House) will support US Vice President Kamala Harris's candidacy, citing her "infectious" laugh.

Putin made the comments during a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on Thursday.

Putin mentioned that while G-Joe Biden was previously their [the Russian government's] "favorite," they now support KD Harris, referencing senile Mr. Biden’s recommendation of her.

"We had the current president Mr. Biden, as our favorite, if I can call it that," Pres. Putin said.

"But now he has been taken out of the race, but he recommended that all his allies support Mrs. Harris. That's what we're going to do...first of all."

And secondly, she has such an expressive and infectious laugh, it shows that she's doing well."
