How to quit Sugar and Unhealthy Habits
The key to quitting sugar is understanding the five things in our way: (1) our brain, (2) environment, (3) habits, (4) gut, and (5) friends.
.
Sugar is 8 times more addictive than cocaine.
Diet and health are big given the number of overweight and obese people, the number of people with diabetes and pre-diabetes.

While there is a debate between low carb and high carb (and one should definitely be low carb), the thing that deserves the most attention is quitting sugar. We need to cut out refined sugars (white sugar, commercial brown sugar, corn syrup, beet sugar) and processed foods.

It is a surefire way to improve health and regulate weight. The mindset and approach of understanding how and why bad habits like sugar addiction develop can be applied to breaking all sorts of addictions like smoking, which is also a sugar addiction because tobacco leaves are cured in sugar.
