9. "Student, here [in this teaching] some woman or man may be angry and much given to rage. For even when little is said, one becomes furious, angry, ill-disposed, resentful, and shows ill-temper, hate, and surliness.
"Due to having performed and completed [accrued] such karma [actions of mind, word, or deed], on the dissolution of the body, after death, one reappears in a state of deprivation...
"If instead one comes to [is reborn in] the human state, one is ugly wherever one is reborn. This is the way that leads to ugliness, namely, to be furious, angry, ill-disposed, resentful, and to show ill-temper, hate, and surliness.

10. "But here [in this teaching] some woman or man abstains from anger and avoids giving into rage. Even when much is said [that is irritating], one abstains from becoming furious, wrathful, ill-disposed, resentful, and one avoids showing ill-temper, hate, or surliness.
"Due to having performed and completed [stored up] such karma, on the dissolution of the body, after death, one reappears in a happy [fortunate] destination...
"If instead one comes to the human state, one [as a result of this karma] is born beautiful wherever one may arise again. For this is the way that leads to beauty, namely, to abstain from being angry or giving into much rage. Even when much [that is annoying] is said, one avoids becoming furious, wrathful, ill-disposed, or resentful, and one abstains from showing ill-temper, hate, or surliness." More
