Flee (2021 trailer)
(Movieclips Indie, 7/14/21) This is the new trailer for Flee, the animated true story from Afghanistan directed by Jonas Poher Rasmussen.

SYNOPSIS: On the verge of marriage to his long-time boyfriend, a successful academic in Denmark is confronted with a secret from his past. Being a homosexual in Islamic, Central Asian country of Afghanistan is not easy, in spite of the long Pashtun tradition of "boy play" (child rape, molestation, exploitation, and trafficking) called bacha bazi.
Christian lesbian nun Sister Benedetta
Based on a shocking true story: a rich young 17th century European nun becomes entangled in a forbidden lesbian affair with a blond novice nun. But the convent doesn't care about that. It is Benedetta's shocking religious visions that threaten to shake the Church to its core. This Italian celibate suffers from disturbing spiritual and erotic visions. She is assisted by a companion, and the relationship between the two women develops into a sexual and romantic love affair. She loves Jesus and hallucinates that she is in contact with him, as she enjoys a case of stigmata. Violence, sex, religious hypocrisy -- in Benedetta by Paul Verhoeven.
