DNA USA: Genetic Portrait of America

Dr. Brian Sykes, Oxford (amazon.com); Seth Auberon, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Thai-black Tiger Woods with Swedish wife/mother Elin Norgedren while cheating*
Crisscrossing the continent, a renowned geneticist provides a groundbreaking examination of America through DNA.
The best-selling author of The Seven Daughters of Eve: The Science That Reveals Our Genetic Ancestry now turns his sights on the United States of America, one of the most genetically variegated countries in the world.
  • *It's not easy being of blended race: "[Tiger Woods] once got in trouble with the black community in America for saying he sometimes felt more Thai than black. He's also cited his Thai [Theravada] Buddhist upbringing as something that keeps him calm and focused on the course..." (CNN).
The Seven Daughter of Eve
From the blue-blooded pockets of old-WASP ("White Anglo Saxon Protestant") state of New England to the vast tribal lands of the Navajo, Oxford University genetic scientist Bryan Sykes takes us on a historical genetic tour interviewing:
  • genealogists
  • geneticists
  • anthropologists
  • everyday Americans with compelling ancestral stories. His findings suggest:
  • Among white Americans, evidence of African DNA is most common in the South [where rape of slaves and servants was a common practice, which continues today as human sex trafficking].
  • Of Americans whose ancestors came as slaves, virtually all have some European DNA. [Most slaves in the USA were indigenous people taken into slavery here, not brought over from anywhere but the Americas.]
  • Racial intermixing appears least common among descendants of early New England colonists. [Before long they joined the melting pot, too.]
  • There is clear evidence of Jewish genes among descendants of southwestern Spanish Catholics. [Columbus was said to be a converso, a Jew induced to convert to Catholicism.]
  • European genes appeared among Native Americans as early as 10,000 years ago. [There were many "giants" (ogres, Sasquatches, Nephilim), some with red hair and six fingers and toes, and other hominin species here at first contact as Chinese and Afghan Buddhists, Hindus, Egyptians, Africans, Vikings, and many other seafarers tried to explore and sometimes exploit new lands.]
An unprecedented look into America's genetic mosaic and how we perceive race, DNA USA challenges the very notion of what we think it means to be "American" with 8 pages of color illustrations and 8 pages of black-and-white illustrations. More

Genetic history of Ireland, Britain, America

One of the world's leading geneticists, Oxford University's Bryan Sykes, has helped thousands find their ancestry in the British Isles.

Saxons, Vikings, and Celts, which resulted from a systematic 10-year DNA survey of more than 10,000 volunteers.

It traces the true genetic makeup of the British Isles and its descendants.

The Ocean of Endless Wandering: "Samsara"

Based on Ven. Thanissaro (Samsara, The Karma of Questions) edited by Dhr. Seven, Ananda M., Amber Larson, Crystal Quintero, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Wow, that is one BIG dangerous ocean! A flood! A vast and endless expanse of water!
A big boat for everyone to cross over? SSM
Samsara literally means "the continued wandering on" through rebirth.

It is the name -- in Buddhism, Vedic Brahminism, Hinduism, and Jainism -- for the disappointing place before crossing over to "the further shore" called nirvana (the deathless).

But Buddhist texts do not literally call it a "place." It is a process: the impersonal process of rebirth.

What are we doing as we store up karma (deeds) and meet with their results? We are expressing the tendency to continue wandering on in this endless cycle, creating worlds on top of worlds, moving into them, then lose them as they hurtle toward destruction.

Even as worlds fall apart, which they do from the moment of their creation, we create others and go there.

At the same time, on account of the playing out of karma, we bump into others who are also co-creating worlds.

Well, it was worth a try, but this sea is rough.
The play of this impermanent, impersonal, and unfulfilling process can at times be enjoyable. It would even be an innocent pastime if it were not for the fact that it entails so much disappointment (suffering, loss, misery, pain, woe, ill, dukkha).

Worlds keep caving in and killing us, with each rebirth, a redeath. Moving into a new world requires effort, depleting our store of merit which is what brings about pleasing results. There are great pains and risks of taking rebirth again and again.

We store up bad (unwholesome, unprofitable, akusala) karma to be met with again and again. We endure hard knocks -- mental and physical -- enduring childhood after childhood, ignorance into adulthood, then ignorance again.

The Buddha posed the question, "What is greater, the water in the oceans or the tears we have shed while continuing to wander on [life after life]?" The answer, of course, is the tears. We might reflect on this the next time we stand at the beach and gaze at the ocean or play in the waves. More

Ocean of Tears

The Wheel of Rebirth is endless and so sad!
"Meditators, what is greater, the tears shed while continuing to wander on through this long, long cycle -- crying and weeping from being brought into contact with what we do not want and being separated from what we do want -- or the water in the four great oceans?

"...This is the greater: the tears shed while wandering on...

"Long have we (repeatedly) experienced the death of a mother. The tears shed over a mother's death while wandering on through this long, long cycle -- crying and weeping from being brought into contact with what we do not want and being separated from what we want -- are greater than the water in the four great oceans.

No!! I'm a state-sponsored killer of children!
"Long have we (repeatedly) experienced the death of a father... the death of a brother... the death of a sister... the death of a son... the death of a daughter... the loss of relatives... the loss of wealth... loss due to disease.

"The tears we have shed due to loss because of disease while continuing to wander on through this long, long cycle -- crying and weeping from being brought into contact with what we do not want and being separated from what we want -- are greater than the water in the four great oceans.

"Why is that? It is because the starting point of this wandering on is unfathomable. A beginning is not evident since beings -- hindered by ignorance and fettered by craving -- have been wandering on.

"Long have we experienced suffering, experienced pain, experienced loss, swelled the cemeteries -- long enough to become disenchanted with all formations (things dependent on support-conditions for their existence), long enough to become dispassionate, long enough to let go" (SN 15.3).

A human rebirth is precious
I'm wasting my human life in bondage to craving!
"Meditators, suppose that this great earth were totally covered with water and a person were to toss a floating ring upon the water.

"Wind from the east would push it west, wind from the west would push it east, wind from the north would push it south, and wind from the south would push it north.

"Now suppose a blind sea turtle were to dive in and only come to the surface once every century.

"What do you think -- how likely is it that that blind sea turtle, coming to the surface only once every century, would stick its head through that ring?"

"Venerable sir, it would be very unlikely if the blind sea turtle, coming to the surface only once a century, were to stick its head through that ring."

"Likewise, meditators, it is rare that one is ever reborn on the human plane. [It is more likely that that blind sea turtle, surfacing only once every century, would stick its head through a ring as it is being sent every which way by wind and wave.]

"Likewise, it is rare that a Tathagata [a Buddha], worthy and fully awakened, ever arises in the world.

"Likewise, it is rare that a Doctrine and Discipline (Dharma-Vinaya) expounded by a Tathagata ever appears in the world.

"Now, this human plane has been reached. A Tathagata, worthy and fully awakened, has arisen in the world. A Doctrine and Discipline expounded by a Tathagata has appeared in the world.

"Therefore, our duty is the [fourfold] contemplation:
  1. 'This is suffering...
  2. This is the origin of suffering...
  3. This is the cessation of suffering...
  4. This is the path-of-practice leading to the cessation of suffering'" (SN 56.48).
[NOTE: These are the Four Ennobling Truths, the four things that lead us to complete liberation from the sea of samsara, the otherwise endless round of rebirth and suffering.]

Why do we wander in samsara?
The 31 Planes of Existence
"It is because of not understanding and not penetrating these four things that we have wandered on through such a long, long cycle. What four things?

1. "It is because of not understanding and not penetrating NOBLE virtue that we have wandered on through such a long, long cycle.

2. "It is because of not understanding and not penetrating noble coherence (collectedness, concentration) that we have continued to wander on through such a long, long cycle.

3. "It is because of not understanding and not penetrating noble wisdom that we have continued to wander on through such a long, long cycle.

4. "It is because of not understanding and not penetrating noble freedom that we have wandered on through such a long, long cycle.

"But when noble virtue...noble coherence...noble wisdom... [and] noble freedom [are] understood and penetrated then craving for becoming [continued rebirth] is destroyed, the guide to becoming (craving-and-clinging) is ended, and there is now no further becoming" (AN 4.1).

Meditation for people who can't "meditate"

Ananda M., Jen B. (Dharma Meditation Initiative), Ashley Wells (ed.), Wisdom Quarterly
Ever try to meditate? Meditation is not about trying. Ever do meditation? Meditation is not about doing.

Ever make meditation happen? No one can make it happen, and no one ever will. But people meditate. How?

Plants grow themselves. Gardeners only help.
Gardeners garden, and by gardening, plants grow. But no gardener has ever made a plant grow. Gardening is not about MAKING a plant grow.

It is about cultivating suitable conditions (as well as removing obstacles) so that it grows all by itself. Meditation is just this way! It happens. And all our trying, doing, making, forcing...get in the way. Let go instead.

With the cultivation techniques we'll learn, everyone who attends is GUARANTEED to enter a meditative state -- no effort required. In fact, effort will get in the way. Let go. Vegan refreshments and tangy green tea kombucha served.

Native American structures, GIANTS (video)

Jim Vieira, Megalisthomania (Facebook) via ZEG TV Hidden from the Public, 2018; Xochitl, Pat Macpherson, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Giants are real. They are documented in Buddhist texts as asuras, rakshasas, yakshas.

Real Giants Exist...These Discoveries Prove It

Giants on Record (Jim Vieira)
Hidden in local U.S. archives and dusty Smithsonian reports are accounts now nearly forgotten by North American historians and scientists.

Jim Vieira and Hugh Newman wrote Giants on Record: America's Hidden History, Secrets in the Mounds and the Smithsonian Files. These accounts document giant skeletons (7 to 9 feet tall) discovered all over the USA, many buried under earthen mounds.

Some photographs still exist but, curiously, the skeletons do not; they have been covered up and hidden away in Smithsonian repositories "being worked on by top men" not on public view:

Over 1,000 accounts of 7-foot and taller skeletons have been unearthed from ancient Native American burial sites over a 200-year period in North America.
  • WARNING: Reports of giant skeletons to officials with be met with SEIZURE and THREATS to you and your family. DOCUMENT IT, and keep quiet about the location.

Spanish covered the world's largest pyramid in Native American Mexico at Cholula.
Lost Race (Pat Chouinard)
Scientific journals, photos, newspaper accounts, town and county histories, letters, diaries, and Smithsonian ethnology reports have carefully documented this.

These giant skeletons have been reported from one coast to the other, many east of the Mississippi, in old newspaper reports and in modern police and university files, which are quickly covered up as the Smithsonian carts away the physical evidence.

They have strange anatomical features that are now called anomalies such as enormous skulls, double rows of teeth, jawbones so large as to be fit over the face of the finder like a helmet, and elongated heads. They have been documented in virtually every state.

Individuals claiming to have seen a Sasquatch (Bigfoot, skunk ape, Wendigo) say it was large, humanoid, muscular, bipedal, ape-like, roughly 6-9 feet tall, covered in hair described as black, dark brown, or dark reddish.

Some descriptions include details such as large eyes, conical skull, a pronounced brow ridge, a protruding mouth, and a large, low-set forehead. The top of the head has been described as rounded and crested, similar to the robust sagittal crest of the male gorilla, with a horrid odor.

Buddhist ogres (rakshasas)
The enormous footprints -- which each include a unique fingerprint -- for which the creature is named are claimed to be as large as 24 inches long and 8 inches wide.

Proponents of Bigfoot's existence claim that the creature is omnivorous and mainly nocturnal, a scavenging night hunter that will eat almost anything, including humans and processed foods.

Rosa Parks: Modern Day Heroine (video)

Rosa Parks MDH; Amber Larson, Ashley Wells, Sheldon S. (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

No one likes racism. Not even the racists like it. Racism is so offensive to the American ear that talking about race is considered "racism" nowadays.

The corollary is that one cannot even begin to think about criticizing Israeli war crimes, apartheid-racism, and PM Benjamin Netanyahu's corruption cases without being falsely charged with "anti-semitism."

Good work, Bibi, I support you. - I know.
Israeli officials want CIA-groomed Netanyahu charged with corruption even as he goes about killing Palestinians, selling weapons, and giving the thumbs up to atrocities while garnering US support.

Because race is such a touchy subject in modern America (at least in the USA if not all of America, which is a continent not a country) that we would rather honor just a few American greats in comedy.

There are many more. Any oppressed group is going to naturally give rise to great comedians, rebels, artists, iconoclasts, academics, and heroines/heroes like civil rights champion Rosa Parks:

Civil Rights Heroine Rosa Parks
Rosa Louise McCauley Parks (Feb. 4, 1913-Oct. 24, 2005) was an activist in the Civil Rights Movement, whom the United States Congress called "the first lady of civil rights" and "the mother of the freedom movement."

On Dec. 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks refused [in a planned civil disobedience action] to obey bus driver James F. Blake's order to give up her seat in the "colored section" to a white man, after the "whites-only section" filled up.

Parks was not the first person to resist bus segregation. Others had taken similar steps, including:
NAACP organizers believed that Parks was the best candidate for seeing through a court challenge after her arrest for civil disobedience in violating Alabama segregation laws, although eventually her case became bogged down in the state courts while the Browder v. Gayle case succeeded.

Rosa Parks' act of defiance and the Montgomery Bus Boycott became important symbols of the modern Civil Rights Movement. She became an international icon of resistance to racial segregation.

She organized and collaborated with civil rights leaders, including Edgar Nixon, president of the local chapter of the NAACP and Martin Luther King, Jr., a new minister in town who gained national prominence in the civil rights movement. More

Everything You Know is (Still) Wrong: Lloyd Pye

Art Bell created Coast to Coast, which was wrested from him and given to the sellout disinformation operative George Noory.

Lloyd Anthony Pye Jr. (Sept. 7, 1946-Dec. 9, 2013) was a paranormal American researcher and author. In 2013, he was diagnosed with aggressive lymphoma and retired from active research and promotion of the Starchild skull then died at his home in Destin, Florida.

He is best known for promoting of the amazing alien Starchild skull, a relic of a human-alien hybrid creature that lived on earth. Genetic testing, which has obviously been tampered with, shows it to be from a human male -- which does not begin to explain the adaptations in bone matrix and strength, large eyes, cranium capacity, and so on.

Dr. Steven Greer, M.D. (disclosureproject.org) fortunately has studied the skull and other anomalous remains of the "Atacama Alien." See the movie Sirius. Lloyd Pye also promoted concrete scientific evidence that cryptids (crytozoological creatures) such as Sasquatch are real. They are one of four homo ("man, human") types:
  1. Almas (Russia, Georgia, Caucasus Mountains "Wildman," surviving Neanderthals)
  2. Yetis ("Abominable Snowmen," human-size)
  3. Sasquatches (massive Bigfoot types, Florida Skunk Ape, Ohio Grassman, Australian Yowies, Chinese Yerens)
  4. Agawis smaller "Hobbits" (Homo floresiensis)) who live in dense jungles (Orang Pendek, Bukit Timah Monkey Man a forest-dwelling cryptid pygmy, Orang-bati, Orang Mawas, Mande Barung, Barmanou)
In this interview Pye explains the evidence for aliens intervention in human development. How did we get here? We arrived, just as the Buddha recounts in the Aranna Sutra (Buddhist "Genesis").

New (updated) book

It is filled with “see it with your own eyes” evidence ranging from the moment the earth came into existence to recent discoveries in our DNA.

This book makes readers question many of the fundamental theories often mistaken for proven fact.

In 1997 Lloyd Pye’s Everything You Know Is Wrong delved into the controversial evidence for alien intervention on earth and life on this planet.

His hard-hitting combination of scientific facts with easy-to-understand explanations made that book an instant classic. Now, 20 years later, it is fully updated and revised to include new archeological and scientific evidence not available when the book was originally published.

Those familiar with the original will be astounded by the number of predictions and theories Lloyd Pye posed in the original that have now been proven by science and are discussed in the new version.

Lloyd Pye passed away in 2013, but Everything You Know Is STILL Wrong has been based on the drafts and revisions he was working on before his mysterious illness. The new book has been updated with the very latest discoveries.

If you have ever wondered if we are alone in the universe, this book offers a definitive answer that even the most adamant skeptic will have to struggle to ignore.

With over 600 pages, 150 black-and-white images, and a tons of well-researched evidence connecting the dots, this is a must-read book. It is for anyone interested in alternative knowledge, aliens, megaliths (pyramids, etc.), hominoids (Bigfoot, Yeti, etc.), and the mainstream cover-ups that try to hide the truth from us all. Look inside the book on Amazon.
