MARC, Ananda M. (Dharma Meditation Initiative), Dhr. Seven, Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly
Mindful Awareness, what Eckhart Tolle could call "presence," is the moment-by-moment process of actively and openly observing our physical, mental, and emotional experiences -- without clinging, resisting, or becoming deluded by them.Mindfulness, which the Buddha called sati (smrti in Sanskrit), has scientific support as a means of improving attention, reducing stress, boosting the immune system, reducing emotional reactivity, and promoting general health and well-being.
- Free 30-minute mindful meditation sessions at UCLA
- Attend with D.M.I. on Meetup, Monday, Nov. 26, 2018
These "drop-in" sessions are led by a professionally-trained staff: Diana Winston, Dr. Marvin Belzer, and guest teachers from MARC (Mindful Awareness Research Center). Open to everyone interested in learning how to live life more in the "present."
