Who is the Mother of Wisdom in ancient proto-India? It is Shari (Sari), mother of Śāriputra (the "Son of Sari," Upatissa), the Buddha's chief male disciple declared "foremost in wisdom," the counterpart of Khema, the Buddha's chief female disciple declared "foremost in wisdom." In Vedic Maha Bharat and later in Hindu India, the Goddess of Wisdom is known as Saraswati. In Europe and the West (list of knowledge deities), we say it is the Goddess Sophia.
