Today marks a watershed in the next economic bubble that will rock the American economy.
Bigger than Google's future bust after its 100 billion dollar valuation, mounting student debt will rock the country and the world worse than the housing crisis because most student debt cannot be defaulted on.
How much is a trillion dollars? A thousand-billion is a misleading answer because a billion is only a thousand-million. Have a look.
In the absence of a Jubilee of biblical proportions, the future for us will be debt bondage and indentured servitude -- slavery, revolt, and draconian crackdown.
Why are foolish "college" commercials proliferating offering job training? It is because they make a great deal of money for fly-by-night schools with very few attending students. The rolls are full, but few complete the training. The few that do do not go on to get jobs.
FAMILY GUY: Man brags: "My son got into DeVry!" [DeVry is one of many technical institutes, colleges, universities, schools, and training programs that advertise heavily on daytime TV for people at home watching TV in the middle of the day]. His co-worker replies sarcastically: "Ah, good. What'd he have to do, open the door?"
Jobs in what they were trained in are not in demand when they graduate. We foot the bill anyway because the role of these "colleges" is to book applicants, drop outs, and secure them federally-backed student loans they will not be able to repay but cannot default on.
They are often seduced or forced into attending such sketchy "training programs" in order to qualify for unemployment insurance.
Even if they successfully declare bankruptcy anytime in their future, the debt will survive to haunt them.
The "most powerful man in the world," the US president, said he only recently overcame his student debt. And he is a lovable and successful lawyer, senator, drug-abusing closeted bisexual, and top executive, not to mention a grand sell-out to MIC corporate interests of all stripes.
Wouldn't it be great to live in a Judeo-Christian society? Then we could have a Jubilee every 50 years.
But American-capitalism, a perversion of what the Nazis envisioned. The MIC we back is out to conquer and enslave the world through debt. This is milking labor (the 99%) for the benefit of an elite ruling caste (the war-happy 1%).

shareholders needed police help to enter today's [April 24, 2012] annual meeting in San
Francisco as about 500 [Occupy Wall Street activists] people gathered to protest the bank's lending and
foreclosures.
Sounds from the street wafted up to the 15th-floor
meeting hall, where Chief Executive Officer John Stumpf was interrupted
at least four times by people shouting objections. Earlier, six
protesters chained themselves together to block an entrance, and about
five to 10 were inside chanting as police cleared paths for attendees at
the Merchants Exchange Building in the city's financial district,
across from Wells Fargo's headquarters.
Members of Occupy Wall Street are among groups seeking
to revive last year's protests against the nation's biggest banks for
their role in causing the financial crisis and gaps between the incomes
of the nation's richest and poorest citizens. Wells Fargo is the largest
provider of U.S. home loans and runs the biggest servicing operation,
which handles billings, collections and foreclosures for banks and

The Jubilee campaignís origins are linked with the
Biblical Year of Jubilee, outlined in Leviticus 25-26, a magnificent and
widely ignored text which calls for periodic complete overhaul of the
economy.
In the Jubilee, there is release for those enslaved because of debts, a Sabbath rest for land and people, redistribution of lands lost because of debt, and a reordering of prices for land and labor based on proximity to the next Jubilee.
Leviticus 25 never even explicitly mentions
debt -- but the Jubilee is all about debt cancellation, restored
community, and freedom from debt bondage. The Jubilee cycle of release
builds on the Sabbath Year debt release and rest cycle outlined in
Deuteronomy 15 and Exodus 21:2 and 23:10-11, building from an every
seventh year rest and release to a super-release in the fiftieth year.
It was no accident that rebels against colonial authority chose a line
from Lev. 25:10 "Proclaim liberty throughout all the land, unto all the
inhabitants thereof...." as the inscription for their liberty bell. More

Buddhist lamas ("wise men") come from the East for an "epiphany," to see the tulku:Epiphany -- "manifestation," "striking appearance," "vision of God" -- falls on January 6th. It is a Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation of the devaputra as a human being in Jesus Christ. Western Christians commemorate the visitation of the Biblical Magi.
This will be the last mention of Jesus (St. Issa) Christ on Wisdom Quarterly until Dec. 21, 2012 with the expected headline "Second Coming arrives 2,000 years late at Mayan Calendar's end of Age" -- assuming he gets here on time.
Armenian Christians nestled in the Caucasus Mountains call today Xmas Eve. They celebrate St. Issa's Mass on January 6th rather than December 25th.
There are so many Christian sects, schools, and factions (over 200 in the US alone) that is should come as no surprise that there is little agreement about anything and less the further one goes back.
"The Lord" is a figurehead adopting the lore and legend of many "lords" in many more ancient Near Eastern and ancient Indian religions. The Buddhist connections are fascinating. After all, the correspondence between world religions is not a coincidence.
Jesus was a bodhisattva, a "self-sacrificing savior" who returns again and again (through rebirth as a "born again" tulku or Indo-Greek / Bactrianchrist child, Maitreya the "messiah" to come). Mahayana Buddhism -- that originated in India and spread West to Afghanistan, Indo-Greece, and up Central Asia to China -- has so many parallels to Christianity that it is amazing that they are not on everyone's minds.
More importantly, who came to find the tulku, the incarnated bodhisattva? Three "wise men" from the East, often referred to as kings. Three Kings Day commemorates those Buddhist monks of legend searching for a star in the east (in accordance with Astro-Theology). And like the Armenians, Hispanic Christians from Spain to Mexico still celebrate this part of the story/myth on January 6th.
Why should anyone care what Armenian Christians do? The Armenian Apostolic Church is the world's oldest National Church. It is part of Oriental Orthodoxy and is one of the most ancient Christian communities [situated between India and Israel, along the route Jewish traders and Jesus used to reach their ancient colony in Kashmir]. Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity as its official religion in 301 AD in establishing this church. It traces its origins to the missions of Apostles Bartholomew and Thaddeus in the 1st century.

Due to an obscure Washington, D.C. holiday, Tax Day is delayed until for three days. A long weekend of art and music desert festivities, film (Indian Film Festival, Los Angeles) and yet more old world New Year celebrations (Los Angeles Buddhist Vihara), and so on ends abruptly with tax forms being due.
This year, we all plan to add something to our form: Instructions on how we want that money spent.
We advise everyone to do the same. Number one on my list will include education, followed by social programs, pothole repair, and environmental cleanup. Of course, where does all our money go now? Military spending?
No, surprisingly, ALL of it an more simply goes to the Fed (not the federal government to be distributed to help people and businesses, the privately owned non-governmental banking company that goes by the name the Federal Reserve). The Fed has as much to do with the federal government as Fed-Ex does, which is to say nothing at all. The money being collected through income tax -- with no law, statute, or constitutional amendment authorizing it -- goes to pay off debt invented by the printing of money.
It's hard to believe. It's impossible to believe. But the entire banking system, inherited from the British system this country was founded to get away from, creates money out of nothing, and charges us for doing so. The result is perpetual and inescapable debt. It was not always this way, and it need not always be this way, but not one cent of federal income tax goes to help anyone but bankers who have done nothing to earn it other than to uphold the very system that enriches them at the expense of workers who generate income.
The topic sounds so boring that we never question it. So this year, holding on to the fantasy that our money is being used on foreign wars and foreign aid, bridges and roads, healthcare and firefighters... tell the IRS how you'd like your contribution to be spent. And educate yourself on the hidden truth about taxes.
(Wisdom Quarterly) -- Today is the Summer Solstice. Why do we humans worship the Sun? It's an ancient Indian custom, codified in a yoga series called Salutation to the Sun (Surya Namaskar). But it's a fundamental basis of most modern religions, particularly Christianity, the dominant "son" cult. Christianity is not an original religion. Instead, like America, it is an amalgamation of traditions from around the world (Mithraism, Scandinavian Paganism, Zoroastrianism, Egyptian rites, etc.).

Buddhist principles (particularly of the Mahayana variety) figure into Christianity as well. And it's no wonder, given Jesus' travels in Ladakh, India and the frontiers of Tibet. (See research first published by Nicolas Notovitch and many other since). The Zeitgeist movie brought astro-theology in religious myths to nearly everyone's attention.
In Buddhism the Sun (Surya) is considered an akasha-deva (sky-god, space-being, radiant light spirit in the heavens), or in any case is spoken of as one in Buddhist rebirth stories (Jatakas). The Moon (Chandra) is spoken of in the same way, perhaps from legends told by visitors from space recorded in Vedic Indian history (a.k.a., mythology).
But the Sun is famous in Buddhism as the basis of the most important sutra for lay Buddhists -- the Advice to Sigala (Sigalovada Sutra). The Buddha uses the ancient Indian custom of "saluting" the sky to instruct a householder's son on how this should be done in the dispensation of the nobles. Rather than worshipping the cardinal directions, the Buddha says that honoring and upholding our social relations and obligations is the original meaning behind the ancient practice.
Which relations? Our parents, teachers, nuclear family, friends and associates, employees and servants, wandering ascetics and brahmins.
Which obligations? To make wholesome karma, avoid harm, make and keep friends, avoid fools, earn and save money, avoid the dissipation of wealth, and so on.
Tax Protester Crashes Plane into IRS AUSTIN, Texas — A pilot slammed his small plane into a seven-story building that housed the local office of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) today, apparently killing himself and one agency employee. Federal officials described it as a deliberate suicide attack amid a long-running tax dispute.
