The Essence of Mahayana Practice with German Buddhist nun Shifu Simplicity
(Buddhist Insights, 8/4/21) Bodhidharma was the great 6th-century Chan meditation master who started the Chan (Jhan, Dhyan) practice lineage in China.

He composed a brief summary of Chan practice in a text called "The Essential Discourse on Entering the Mahāyāna Path by Principle and by Practice" commonly abbreviated as "The Essence of Mahāyāna Practice."

Over the course of six weeks, Shifu Simplicity (a German Buddhist nun or bhikshuni, who has trained for over 20 years in Taiwanese Chan Buddhism) gives a detailed explanation of the meaning and application of this profound text.
