Craving crispy Kentucky air-fried tofu

Wise Chef, Compassionate Sous-Chef, Wisdom Quarterly Vegan Test Kitchen
It's crunchy, it's savory, it's soy-free, and no animal was killed to make it.

Crunchy? Yes. Crispy? Yes. Savory? Yes. Soy-free? Yes, here's how. First of all, not all tofu is made out of soy. In any case, it's not needed.

One of the best alternatives is from Lightlife.com (plant-based meats from LightLife®) that currently has "plant-based chicken strips and breasts" made out of chickpea flour, pea protein isolate, citrus fiber, and seasonings.

It's all right, Cluck and John! It's all animal-free.
It's as close as needed, and they are far from the only company coming up with gluten and soy-free alternatives, full of texture, protein, and flavor. Cube them, coat them, and enjoy the crunch.

It's good karma, preserving life over killing or causing others to kill. We've been raised to eat certain foods, flavors, and cooking methods. Most of them are not good but they can be made less harm, more nutritious, and a lot better for the flavor buds and environment. The Wisdom Quarterly Vegan Test Kitchen has tried them.

Pea protein burgers, grain free flours, savory assortments of herbs, Himalayan and ocean salts, sugar-free sweeteners, healthy fats (not rancid, deodorized, and stripped of everything like supermarket plastic bottle stuff of rendered animals) like hemp, olive fruit oil, virgin coconut, and many other new products, and bouillon cubes make any recipe possible.
