Hello, Fat Dum Dum, you're dumb
(Jimmy Kimmel Live) May 7, 2025: Weight Watchers has filed for bankruptcy, The Conclave to select the next Pope has officially begun, Trump has a very bigly announcement that will be coming out soon, his evil plan to cut public funding from public radio and television stations NPR and PBS is taking shape, ships that are carrying Chinese goods are arriving half-empty in an alarming sign, and Ike Barinholtz, Quinta Brunson, Will Forte, Michelle Monaghan, Bert Kreischer, Aaron Paul, and Chelsea Handler share their prom stories.

Worst Coachella; Warped Tour returns

This gent being deceased, it's hard to see how DJ Prodigy will pull this off

The goal of Coachella (coachella.com) is, of course, to make money. Forget art, new bands, tent raves, heat, the endless walking, dust, crowds, or tracker wristbands. This is about seeing and being seen. Too bad there are next to no bands worth seeing this year. Maybe Travis Scott will cause another satanic stampede riot by bringing Drake on stage as a surprise guest and reliving a previous disaster. Maybe Gaga will bore the crowd until football games break out in the audience so she can superheroine around on wires over the stage in a spacesuit. Green *yawn* Day, oy vey. What's the point. Maybe they can perform that Seinfeld song, a real arena anthem. Post Malone could invite skinny Jelly Roll to outshine him. Many already bought tickets, thinking it's usually a good show. For them there's:
  • The Prodigy
  • Gustavo Dudamel & LA Phil
  • KNEECAP
  • SAINt JHN
  • Circle Jerks
  • The Misfits
  • Clairo
  • Charli XCX
  • Megan Thee Stallion
  • GloRilla
  • The Go-Go's
  • Amyl and the Sniffers
  • Ty Dolla $ign
  • Infected Mushroom
  • The Beaches
  • Don't buy, WIN tickets to Coachella 2025 and if you don't win, maybe that's a sign not to go in accordance with the Law of Attraction (just sayin')
On the bright side, WARPED TOUR returns!

Warped Tour (VansWarpedTour, com) used to be the sort of alt skateboard (X Games) corporate endorsement traveling punk rock jamboree festival every summer. It dried up but has now been resuscitated. There's been a big announcement on the pages of USA Today: Vans Warped Tour reveals first few bands for 2025 comeback following long hiatus
Pennywise singer, featured on The Other F Word, sings "Alien"
Dance Hall Crashers take time machine to the nineties for ska, dancehall?
The Beaches "Blame Brett" (Blame My Ex)

Will Anthony Byrd (Tony Hawk) be there? He's injured so probably not, but other trucks will be whipping around on the asphalt.

Bernie LIVE election night speech (video)

"The struggle [revolution] continues!"

UPDATE: Bernie stays in the campaign all the way to Pennsylvania for the DNC (Democratic National Convention). Whatever he might have said to anyone -- Clinton or Obama or those around him -- he instead stayed on track. The revolutionary train is going to take it all the way. Plan B? Same as Plan A!

Bernie Sanders Speeches & Events
She's a huge b-tch!
Following the AP's psy ops operation calling the primary election before voting in the largest state and five other important states -- not to mention the Democratic party's voter suppression making it difficult for independents to have their votes counted (instead being given worthless provisional ballots or being turned away or being cleansed from voter rolls -- Sen. Sanders will make a "big announcement" sometime after 10:00 pm live from Los Angeles.

WTF?!
California Primary Election Night in Santa Monica, California (Tuesday, 6-7-16) full speech: Bernie Sanders would have given us "A Future to Believe In" in Los Angeles, but people associated with the campaign are reportedly saying he's going to wrap it up tonight. Join supporters and schadenfreude-loving onlookers on election night live online right here. Start time: Tuesday, June 7, 2016 10:00 pm Pacific Standard Time, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 1:00 am on the East Coast.

Science: It's a girl thing! (comedy video)

Wisdom Quarterly; (EU video)
What might a sexist commercial about men look like if society wanted less science out of us and more self-defeating behavior like alcohol and pornography addiction?

The following public service announcement (PSA) was published by the science commission of the European Union. It is part of a campaign designed to attract more females to a career in science. The commission says the inadvertently sexist video has to "speak their language to get their attention."

They add that it was intended to be "fun, catchy" and strike a chord with young people. "I would encourage everyone to have a look at the wider campaign and the many videos already online of female researchers talking about their jobs and lives," the commission added.

(Seattle P.I.) A European Union PSA was supposed to encourage girls to consider a career in the sciences. Instead, it turned out to be a big embarrassment, with critics (and pretty much everyone) saying it’s sexist and insulting... peppered with the words “lipstick,” “stiletto,” and “gawking dude.” More
