On Jan. 31, 2017, The Wall Street Journal reported that federal prosecutors were weighing whether to bring child pornography charges against Weiner over his crimes [72]. On May 19, 2017, The NY Times reported Weiner had surrendered to the FBI that morning, and under a plea bargain he intended to plead guilty to a single charge of transferring obscene material to a minor [73]. Huma Abedin reportedly filed for divorce prior to his guilty plea [74], possibly in an attempt to escape the notoriety. On Sept. 25, 2017, Judge Denise Cote of the Southern District of NY agreed to a plea agreement sentence totaling 21 months in federal prison, three years supervised release, and for Weiner to register as a sex offender [75]. Weiner reported to Federal Medical Center, Devens on Nov. 6 [76]. He was released from prison on Feb. 17, 2019 [77] and was ordered to register as a sex offender in April that year [78].

One of the establishments allegedly involved was the Comet Ping Pong pizzeria in Washington, D.C. [5, 6].

Members of the alt-right, conservative journalists and others who had urged Clinton's prosecution over her use of an unrelated private email server spread the conspiracy theory on social media outlets such as 4chan, 8chan, Reddit, and Twitter [7].

In response, a man from North Carolina traveled to Comet Ping Pong to investigate the conspiracy and fired a rifle inside the restaurant to break the lock on a door to a storage room during his search [8]. In addition, the restaurant's owner and staff received death threats from conspiracy theorists [9].

Whether Edison loses is not in question. How it loses is. If Edison presents itself as a competent and responsible company that made a mistake, it is eligible for 80% reimbursement for its legal losses (estimated to range from between 20 and 23 billion due to the Eaton Fire). However, if it is shown to have been incompetent and irresponsible, it will have to cover the entire amount from its own coffers. We were shown pictures of a grounding wire that was not in place but only jerry-rigged and held down with chicken wire, unable to serve its function of grounding electrical surges (into the ground as intended). There is film footage of the derelict "zombie" transmission tower maintained by Edison sparking (electrically arcing) and setting the forest ablaze. The most damning evidence, however, comes from Edison's own records of urgent work orders never completed to correct these issues to prevent such a disaster. Those records say it is a fire hazard; therefore, Edison had every reason to know what the danger was, what their incompetence would cause, what in fact their negligence did cause. They tried to hide all of this, but LA Fire Justice dug for it and found the evidence. The firm claims to have over 500 clients harmed by Edison. There are thousands more distributed among other lawyers, many who have rushed to the area to set up shop and cash in. They do not have the experience or skill to win big but winning in any way will likely make their move profitable.

Then the real-life Erin Brockovich took the stage with a command of the facts and gravitas, siding with LAFireJustice.com against Edison. She has decades of experience dealing with corporate irresponsibility, and this is a blatant case of it. This makes Edison worse than PG&E, which itself caused one or more infamous fires by not monitoring and shutting down aged electrical equipment. Corporations privatize profits and socialize costs; it's an age-old problem. This is why they have to be held accountable.

Brockovich emphasized that the cleanup is not being done correctly, meaning that toxic heavy metals are spoiling the area. So in ten years or so, there will be a new wave of lawsuits to deal with that shortsightedness. Just today the local mainstream media is reporting how the City of Pasadena below the burn area has closed two baseball fields. They are unsafe due to elevated lead levels from the fire (from homes painted with lead-based paints when they were legal in the forties and fifties).

Community activist Brooke Teal Robbins was present with her parents, who were harmed and displaced by the Eaton Fire. She was promoting another LA Fire Justice "public awareness presentation." It's Pie Day, Friday (3.14)

What is pie? Who better to ask than a poetess? She is sure to have a numerological opinion she can beautifully articulate. Some may think it's a pizza, but this is not New York or Vicenza, Veneto, Italy with its famous piazzas. Surely the greatest of pies is the blueberry, healthful and delicious.

But, wordsmith, what would that have to do with today of all days?

Well, it may be arbitrary, like most National Days, although my robotic phone seems to indicate that pie has more to do with Pi (3.14159) or Greek π, than the baked variety. Maybe in 1959, no, that doesn't make sense. Let me ask my egghead friendboy; he knows about stuff like this due to his Star Wars obsession and penchant for boring things.... Ah, pi seems to be a reference to math. How boring! I'd rather snack and sip tea, or even pizza or placing a puff of whipped cream in someone's face would be more fun.

March 14 is commonly referred to as Pi Day, a day that aims to celebrate the ratio of the circumference of a circle [Eggheadspeak for a way of measuring the space inside a wheel.]. The number is known as 3.14 or π and can actually go on forever [or be stopped if we change to Base 3 or something other than Base 10, but numbers are all Greek, so who knows?]

The most accurate value for Pi, according to Guinness World Records, is more than 62 trillion digits (62,831,853,071,796 to be precise) [because some computer somewhere says so, as if 63 trillion wouldn't be even more precise], calculated in August 2021 by the University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland.

Gluten-free vegan deep dish?

They don't eat pizza in Italy. They don't even know what it is. Italia eatta panini, a kind of fluffy bread with just a few garnishes for flavor. It took an American to make a pie. Living on the West Coast, which may arguably be the best coast, we are all about a thick crust, preferably gluten-free.

The East Coast, in New York style, a flour tortilla is used, the thinner the better. (How does that make any sense?) Living outdoors in giant in backyards, the west and Southwest can have their own pizza ovens year around, except for the two weeks when it rains.

Vegan nut cheese drizzling, Beyond meat toppings, and lots of fresh green basil, thin heirloom tomato slices, herbs, and no pineapple (we repeat, no pineapple, this is not Hawaii), with savory spices, maybe even some shitake mushrooms... There's no end to what the imagination can create on Pizza Day.

Oddly, this year falls on 4/20, and Pizza Day falls on Super Bowl Sunday -- traditionally known as the day more avocados are consumed than any other (except maybe Cinco de Mayo) due to the dips, chips, and sandwiches. It's almost as if someone, some deva up there, knows what's going on down here.

A: Gluten is found in wheat, barley, rye, oats, and buckwheat (not a grain or grass but full of a gluten to protect itself), a plant toxin appearing in different forms with different names but doing the same thing to our intestines -- stripping the cilia and leading us to have digestion and malabsorption issues. ALL oats (even the ones labelled "gluten free") are the worst because they are full of avenin (oat gluten); the label is accurate because the wheat version (from cross-contamination) is called gluten, not the oat version.

Our intestines should look like a shag rug on the inside, not a smooth water hose. But as colorectal exams show, we are no longer equipped to absorb nutrients. All humans are harmed by any amount of gluten (gliaden, avenin, etc.), but we're used to it.

Monsanto (Bayer Inc.) and others have manufactured new higher-gluten forms of grains. That makes food production more convenient, addictive, and harmful. We all want spongy, chewy, moist breadlike products, full of protein (the cause of gluten's harm) and lots of starch, which is quickly converted into sugar by the body.

Dr. Joel Wallach (criticalhealthnews.com) states that nothing is more widespread and harmful than the glutens (a plant lectin), killing countless people every year but doing so slowly by malabsorption, malnutrition, and the inability to replenish the micronutrients needed for vibrant living. Deficiencies caused by eating glutens cause many diseases, and supplementing won't help if we are still being exposed to gluten (hidden everywhere or in obvious sources) because our cilia has not been allowed to grow back. Macronutrients like calories come in, but not the trace minerals and vitamins from healthy foods and supplements. The soil is depleted, so even the best most varied (organic, seasonal, local, fresh, healthy) diet will not help restore the 65 to 90 vital nutrients we need if gluten is still in our diet.
