Capitalist Metallica goes apolitical?

We "love" US militarism and killing for gov't (?)
(Katie Halper) Pink Floyd Co-founder Roger Waters eviscerates the cowardly capitalists Metallica for trying to go "apolitical" but liking torture (use of their music in literal torture of prisoners), a punk ethos to their heavy metal (which for long-term profit purposes they use PR recommended "heavy music" verbiage to describe). If memory serves, it was the bisexual or possibly gay Metallica drummer and leader Lars Ulrich who almost singlehandedly took down Napster fan music sharing for cutting into his and his "rebel" rock band's profits. But at the slightest whiff of blowback, it's all: We have no political opinions and never have. "Metallica's agenda is just to make money love, energy, and heavy music, baby!"

The 73-year-old exiled Buddhist spiritual leader, due to meet Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen on Friday, said he was unfazed by Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende's decision not to receive him. "No problem, I have no political agenda," he shrugged. More>>
