Amy Goodman will appear in-person at a screening of the new documentary about her life, her journalism, and the news program she co-founded 30 years ago, Democracy Now! She will participate in a Q&A following the film, joined by one of the film’s Oscar-nominated directors, Tia Lessin. Hosted by the USC School of Cinematic Arts’ Outside the Box [Office] series.

- White teenage school shooter murders three children and one teacher in Bend The community of Bend, Oregon, is in mourning following a school shooting at the Silver Rail School: 2026 Silver Rail Elementary School shooting. Police say three children, ages 5, 8, and 11, and a teacher were fatally shot by a white 16-year-old resident of the town who used a long rifle shotgun to blast his way through the school’s locked doors. A 7-year-old student was also critically injured along with a teacher. The suspected shooter was reportedly fatally shot to death by a father of a student at the school described as "an armed member of the community" who pursued the boy into the school.

Pentagon to withhold internal report on US mass murder bombing of Iranian school children until after the midterms to help Republicans win races Bloomberg reports that top Pentagon officials have expressed their intention to hold off on releasing an internal report into their attack on an elementary school in southern Iran until after the U.S. midterm elections at the earliest. The U.S. military killed at least 156 people — 120 innocent children, 26 noncombatant teachers, and ten terrified parents.

White neo-Nazi supremacist teenager alleged to have attempted mass shooting at Illinois Hindu Temple, but rifle jammed In suburban Chicago, a self-described "neo-Nazi teenager" has been arrested for allegedly planning to carry out a mass shooting at the largest Hindu temple in Aurora, Illinois. Police say 19-year Alexandros Paporakis visited the holy site on Sunday, but his AR-15 rifle jammed. Authorities were alerted by one of the teenager’s co-workers at Taco Bell. At his mother’s house, police found a rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, tactical gear, and a "manifesto" in which the teenager described himself as a “sociopathic white supremacist Neo Nazi filled with hatred, fantasizing about mass murder nearly every day.” He has been charged with making a terrorist threat and illegal gun possession and faces a stern warning from a judge to behave from now on and leave these sorts of shooting to local authorities and officers.

Hegseth justice by firing squad public display deadlive at Fort Hood The reigning monarch has called off his Dept. of War leader Hegseth’s plan to livestream a state-sanctioned execution murder of Nidal Hasan, the former U.S. Army major who is said to have killed 13 people at Fort Hood in Texas in 2009. Major Hasan is scheduled to be shot to death on Dec. 3, 2026. In a statement, Trump said livestreaming such executions “might have been a strong deterrent for the world,” but he acknowledged many people would rather not watch Major Hasan being slaughtered by the state. Last week, the U.N.
