Sad about Charlie Kirk's murder? (stand up)

(Cracked Comedy Club) Standup comedian Shaun Anthony

New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has made a lot of Zionist and secular Jews very uncomfortable. He’s a Leftist and has been on the pro-Palestine side of the divide for a long time, and many worry about what this will mean for NYC and its many Jewish people [hundreds of thousands in Brooklyn]. Yet Satmar Hasidim have taken a very different approach, embracing him with open arms. I explain why I believe this is.

LA County (SEIU Union) workers on strike

(KTLA 5 News, Los Angeles, 4/29/25) Over 55,000 L.A. County workers go on strike

Over 55,000 L.A. County workers go on strike
(KTLA 5) April 29, 2025: It's not just federal workers being booted into unemployment. Los Angeles COUNTY employees aren't making enough to keep up with inflation (or Trumpflation as one might call it). So they are on strike, as LA pays $4 billion in child rape and sexual abuse settlement costs from abusing so many children in its care Tens of thousands of workers employed by Los Angeles County continued striking Tuesday, consequently disrupting some public services. The members of labor union SEIU 721 walked off their jobs after 7:00 pm Monday in an effort to negotiate for a new and fairer contract with the county. Sex Strike? The 4B Movement

(Inside Edition) What is the 4B movement after Trump failed to lose like polls said he would?

Imported from South Korea, many American women are swearing they'll join the 4B movement in light of Don the John Trump's re-election. What does it mean?

What is the 4B movement?
This rumor originated in South Korea as a radical feminist [and possibly lesbian] statement to abstain from interactions with men due to the country’s Patriarchy (patriarchal society).
Meaning of 4B

Is it "radical" to want rights?
This 4B movement stands for the four “B”s or “Nos” in Korean. They are bisekseu (“no sex with men”); biyeonae (“no dating men”); bihon (“no marrying men”); and bichulsan (“no having children,” especially not male children that fail to serve the Matriarchy).
Patriarchy must be good and tyrannical, right?
JP: I'm changing the definition of "patriarchy"

Where did this idea come from? It’s actually a pretty old idea for women to abstain from sexual contact with men as a way of whipping them into shape (though then it was done to end a war).

Let men do the breastfeeding
Perhaps one of the oldest examples is Aristophanes’ Ancient Greek comedic-play Lysistrata. Originally performed in 411 BC, it follows a group of Greek women who withhold sex from men to force them to end their Peloponnesian War by leaving them with annoying boners and all that lust-inspiring testosterone and no one but guys around.

How did the movement get started in (Mahayana Buddhist) South Korea?
It all kicked off around 2016 with the Escape the Corset movement, a social media-led movement that saw South Korean women discussing the ways in which Korean society’s restrictive female standards contributed to a misogynistic society.

The 4B movement gained even more momentum a year later when South Korean women started coming forward about the abuse they’d faced as part of the #MeToo movement. More

While we do not support JP, who has gone off the rails into MAGAville and Trump sycophantism, he's got a point here. Who's worse, Donny or Kami? Donny, probably, but Kami gives us chills of disgust. So like BLM, we will not back an authoritarian self-described "top cop" Establishment selection. We never backed her as VP over Tulsi or the others.

Riots in France over Dictator Macron (video)

France strikes: Violent clashes, fires, and teargas mar Dictator Macron's vision
(Bloomberg Television) March 27, 2023. Protests continue across France against Dictator President Emmanuel Macron’s unpopular bill to increase the retirement age from 62 to 64.

[That, of course, is not the only complaint but the one made much of by the Western press to belittle the French as if they were so lazy that this increase would cause French society to fall apart.]

Bloomberg's Caroline Connan looks at what it means for his political future.

Protests continue, escalate after Macron pushes through pension reform in France
(ABC News) March 28, 2023. #pension #abcnews #france ABC News’ Ines de la Cuetara breaks down the latest on the protests in Paris after French Dictator President Emmanuel Macron pushed through reforms to the country’s pension program.

"France is furious": Anger grows at Macron for raising retirement age as millions strike and protest
(Democracy Now!) March 24, 2023. French unions say nearly 3.5 million people took to the streets Thursday in a nationwide general strike to protest Pres. Emmanuel Macron's deeply unpopular move to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.

Dictator Macron forced the legislation through the French National Assembly last week, using a constitutional clause to bypass a parliamentary vote. Macron's government survived a vote of no confidence Monday by just nine votes, but public anger shows no signs of abating, with France's major trade unions planning another nationwide protest for Tuesday.

"Not only is the government trying to do this pension reform that people see as fundamentally unfair, but they're ignoring historically large protests even by French standards," says journalist Cole Stranger from Marseille. His new guest essay in The New York Times is headlined "France is furious." Latest shows

Israel under Dictator PM Netanyahu (video)

Palestinians to pay the price as corrupt dictator PM Netanyahu pauses judicial plan while empowering Far Right
(Democracy Now!) Latest shows. March 28, 2023. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu [still in court facing corruption charges after being ousted from office and now reinstated almost certainly with help from the CIA] has agreed to delay a push to overhaul and weaken Israel's judiciary until the next parliamentary session.

The retreat came after months of unprecedented mass protests and a general strike on Monday [3/27/23] that shut down much of Israel.

PM Netanyahu had earlier fired Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for suggesting a delay to judicial changes.

(Democracy Now!) Top U.S. and World Headlines — March 28, 2023

In a concession to his far-right governing allies, PM Netanyahu has also agreed to establish a new national guard under the control of ultranationalist National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who was once convicted of racist incitement against Palestinians and supporting a terrorist group.

"He already has an immense amount of power over police forces that regularly inflict violence on Palestinians. Now there is talk of him having this national guard," journalist Natasha Roth-Rowland, an editor with _+972 Magazine_, says of Ben-Gvir.

Democracy Now! also speaks with Palestinian American analyst Yousef Munayyer, who says the public outrage over the judicial plan is due to many Israelis seeing their own rights threatened for the first time.

"The rights of Palestinians…have not been upheld by these courts for a very long time," says Munayyer.

Dems little better than Republicans (TJDS)

Jim Dore, Kshama Sawant (TJDS); Pfc. Sandoval, Ashley Wells, Sheldon S., Wisdom Quarterly

Just do what They tell you, JoJo.
Pres. B.S. Obama-Biden was in some ways worse than Bush-Cheney and perhaps even worse than the second worst president in history, Trump. G.W. Bush still seems like the worst, right behind his murderous former CIA Chief G.H. Bush, a horrific unindicted war criminal. Why? We expect certain bad things from Republicans or conservatives but not from Democrats or progressives. Obama was groomed by the CIA, and he duped us and kept everyone asleep, thinking we had finally put someone good in the White House. Trump to his credit at least got people to sit up and notice, pay attention to politics and their duties as members of a democracy. Hillary would have put everyone to sleep, much as most Americans are doing under career politician Biden. Admittedly, Trump is gross, vulgar, and idiotic, but he didn't make wars or keep secrets very well. He's hated for that because the media will not tolerate that the status quo be upset in a capitalist system. Business must keep humming along no matter how many citizens are suffering under it. At least the big donors are happy.

Longtime politician, lawyer, and default presidential candidate Joe "Pizza Gate" Biden is demented and sounds more than a little senile. What this country needs is a general strike during the pandemic according to IWW Labor Organizer Maxim Baru in an interview on The Jimmy Dore Show, which has premium members, live shows, and a newsletter.

We must do better. And stop the hate (AP).
A record 3.3 million [now 17 million+] workers have applied for unemployment insurance. Meanwhile, we are told a new coronavirus (COVID-19) sweeps across the nation leaving an economic and health crisis in its wake.

These people are facing the prospects of mounting debt or outright eviction from the very homes that are keeping them safe in this time of physical distancing.

With the virus crisis, many of us are stuck between staying healthy or staying housed. With the loss of our incomes, we may not be able to make rent on April 1 or May 1. We’re envisioning a future beyond recovery and calling out to our elected officials to #CancelRent #CancelMortgages and guarantee #HomesForAll!

Hand guns, desperation, cratering the economy by a police state scare...

The world rises up. Police states clamp down.
"Rent parties" have deep roots in the black struggle for freedom, self-determination, and mutual aid. We're bringing back this 100-year-old tradition to demand a just response to coronavirus.

Listen, Liberal: The Dems screw us (comedy)

Jimmy Dore (TJDS); Family Guy; Thomas Frank; S. Auberon, Pfc. Sandoval, Wisdom Quarterly
WARNING: F-word, obscenity-laced, angry rant! Maverick comedian Jimmy Dore calls everyone out.

Bestselling author Thomas Frank takes a close look at "liberals." It asks, What's the matter with Democrats?

As liberals we think, "If only Democrats dominate national elections, if only we beat those awful Republicans into submission, the country will be fine." To think so is to fundamentally misunderstand the modern Democratic party.

What's the Matter With America?
Drawing on years of research and firsthand reporting, he points out that Democratic politicians have done very little for liberal goals:
  • expanding opportunity
  • fighting for social justice
  • ensuring workers get a fair deal.
These Democrats have barely dented the consensus that a free market is the answer to everything. It's not for lack of being in a position to: Democrats have occupied the White House for 16 of the past 24 years up to 2016. Meanwhile, the decline of the middle class has only accelerated.

Rich, two-face Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi calls for tax cuts for the rich.
.
Bernie Sanders: I just want to fit in for once.
Wall Street gets bailouts, wages keep falling, and free trade deals keep coming. With sardonic wit and lacerating logic, Frank lays bare the essence of the Democratic party's philosophy and how it has changed over the years.

Corporate and cultural elitism has eclipsed the party's old working class commitment. For favored groups, this has meant prosperity. For the nation, it has been a one-way ticket to inequality. More

Global Climate Strike (9/20-27)

GlobalClimateStrike.net/usa; CC Liu, Crystal Quintero, [Seth Auberon], Wisdom Quarterly

We’ve endured another summer of record-breaking heatwaves [allegedly], floods, and refinery explosions. Enough is enough! No more government inaction and half-measures.

Big Climate Change Brother is watching you!
[We want government meddling and FULL measures, a takeover, with state-bureaucracy and federal military-intervention, Orwellian 1984-style, with the setting up of a viable and profitable corporate pollution-credit disaster-capitalist market to profit from natural carbon emissions].

It’s time to build a renewable energy economy [yes!] that works for everyone [but particularly our corporations]. Join us in the streets September 20 and the week after to demand climate justice for all.

[We're not tools for the powers-that-be, nor useful idiots; we're independent youth who want to make a difference doing what our government tells us using Noam Chomsky's idea of "manufacturing consent" until we're demanding to be ruled and billed for the privilege]. More

Monday Night Talk/Meditation at Spirit Rock
Jack Kornfield, the accomplished Buddhist meditation master and author, has something to say about today's global Climate Strike.

Beginning today, youth around the world have joined together in a #climatestrike. But we ALL have a responsibility to act. How?

When we apply the tools available through Dharma practice, we can begin to transform fear, grief, and anger that keep us from contributing in a meaningful way.

This past summer, Jack Kornfield addressed the climate crisis during his Monday Night talk on June 3, 2019. An excerpt of that talk follows. (See it all at spiritrock.org/jack-kornfield or on YouTube).

Climate Change

Noble teacher Jack Kornfield (spiritrock.org)
“The culture — the consumer, misguided side of capitalism — wants to put you to sleep. It wants business as usual. It wants you to actually feel that you can’t do anything — that you can’t make a difference. It’s a lie. It’s untrue.

“Raise your voices, vote, educate others. Every one of us can make a difference on this earth. Your practice of loving-awareness and compassion will lead you. Some of you will be political. Some of you will plant. Some of you will support other organizations. Some of you will educate.

“When you feel empowered to make a difference, it will not only change the earth as you plant those seeds, but it’ll also change your heart.

“As Gary Snyder said, ‘If you’re going to save it, save it because you love it.’ Not out of anger. Not out of fear. Not out of hatred or aggression.

“Take care with one another and take care of this beautiful earth.”
